Bachelor of Teaching - Early Childhood Education Upgrade

If you have completed your Diploma of Teaching (Early Childhood Education) at New Zealand Tertiary College, the New Zealand Tertiary College upgrade to a Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood Education) program is a 20-week full-time program:

Infants and Toddlers
Teachers as Leaders
Intentional Teaching for Learning
Teaching as Inquiry

If you have completed your Diploma of Teaching (Early Childhood Education) level 7 or equivalent at another education provider, the upgrade to a Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood Education) program is a one-year full-time program:

Infants and Toddlers
Tiriti-Based Early Childhood Education
Curriculum Approaches
Teachers as Leaders
Inclusive Early Childhood Education
Intentional Teaching for Learning
Teaching as Inquiry
The Ethical Teacher

- a Diploma of Teaching (Early Childhood Education) level 7 or equivalent;

- already have teacher registration, or be able to meet the Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand’s criteria for registration as a teacher;

- declare any physical or learning disability, or diverse needs that may impact on the performance as a student.
