Programme overview

This one-year programme has been developed in collaboration with industry. 

Your 120 credits will be made up of eight 15 credit courses. Each course is eight weeks long, with a short break in between courses. You can take up to two courses at a time to be considered a full-time student.
Study face-to-face on our Nelson or Marlborough campus, or study completely online through the TANZ eCampus online learning platform.

Start with an Introduction to Accounting and Taxation and Organisations in a New Zealand Context to gain a broad understanding of accounting and its role in a New Zealand business. Further increase your knowledge through courses in Applied Accounting, Analysis of Financial Information, Budgets for Planning and Control. Alongside these Accounting focused courses, gain a deeper understanding of New Zealand business through courses in Business Environments, Business Functions and Understanding Change.
