Programme overview

Learn about the design and development of civil infrastructure including water supply and treatment, irrigation and hydropower systems, highways, subdivisions and structural architecture.

This two year diploma designed by industry in 2010 to meet the needs of the New Zealand engineering sector includes core and elective courses focused on the design and implementation of engineering technology and aimed at providing you with sound thinking and problem solving abilities. You will gain a solid grounding in engineering theory and principles of engineering science including design and drawing, materials, surveying hydraulics, geotech structures and highways. It is expected that graduates will attain the educational underpinnings and work ready attributes defined in the Engineering New Zealand Graduate Profile for Engineering Technicians.
