Programme overview

This practical, environmental science qualification is earned amidst the breathtaking beauty of New Zealand's Bay of Plenty.

You'll go on awesome field trips to visit some beautiful and remote parts of the country like Fiordland, Coromandel and the Central Plateau, where you'll examine the challenges facing New Zealand's clean, green image, and look at what needs to be done to protect our world-famous environment. One year won't be enough! Once you've graduated you can continue on to the level 6 diploma where you'll gain more advanced skills and knowledge with a focus on research design, environmental and ecological reporting. You’ll also choose elective papers in biosecurity or aquaculture.
