The Postgraduate Diploma in Surgical Anatomy is a one–year programme providing instruction in clinically relevant anatomy to New Zealand registered medical practitioners or those with an equivalent overseas qualification. The majority of participants are doctors in their first three years of postgraduate training who are intending to pursue careers in surgery or radiology. The programme consists of four taught papers, and includes both distance learning and two separate two-week periods of cadaver dissection and intensive campus-based instruction. Successful participants will gain an internationally recognised qualification from the University of Otago.
