Since its inception in 1928, Air Richelieu has become one of the leaders in pilot training in Canada. Nowadays, Air Richelieu College is the first flight school that has signed an agreement with Transport Canada for the Approved Training Organisation (ATO) certification. This project includes developing the regulatory framework governing ATO procedures and certificates based on ICAO requirements (International Civil Organisation).
Air Richelieu is proud to have educated numerous aviation professionals, including Julie Payette and David Saint-Jacques (astronauts), airline captains, and pilots who today working worldwide. Thanks to one of the latest partnership agreements in 2018, the college has a partnership with Jazz Aviation. Therefore, graduates have a golden opportunity to build their careers in this renowned company.
The fleet consists of more than 30 modern aircraft for training. There are different types of airplanes: Cessna 150, Cessna 172, Piper PA-44 Seminole, ALX, AL-200, and AL-50. Situated at the international St-Hubert airport, Air Richelieu offers an extensive range of facilities and services, such as a lounge conference room, wireless Internet access, 100LL and Jet-100, eating options (Bistro Starbucks), the services of two doctors, and computerised weather information service. Also, the college operates under a team of experienced professionals, including aircraft maintenance engineers and customer service representatives.
