Alberta College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine

Alberta College of Acupuncture & Traditional Chinese Medicine (ACATCM) was established in 1997 by the visionary Dr. Benny Xu. It was the first institution in Alberta to provide professional education for acupuncturists and traditional Chinese medicine practitioners. Since its inception, the institute is the industry flagship college in acupuncture and TCM education in Canada for over 20 years. ACATCM programmes are internationally recognised as among the most advanced, including the USA, Europe, and China. All programmes are designed at different levels: Diploma, Degree, Certificate programmes. 

The mission statement is to be an outstanding education and research institution. ACATCM’s philosophy relies on building a great foundation that will lead to more significant outcomes. Also, one of the priorities is a focus on people. 

Students have opportunities to be a part of ACATCM and experience a state-of-the-art education platform, including focused classroom studies, innovative virtual classes, laboratory studies, hands-on internship, and seminars by world-renowned doctors and scientists. The institute differs from others by innovation, engineering, and learning architecture.

ACATCM is proud to have China Annual Students Exchange (C.A.S.E.) programme. Students have the privilege to visit or continue their education in China in multiple ways. ACATCM is the only provider in North America with a direct relationship with the Ministry of Chinese Medicine.
