Alpha Educational Institute was established over 20 years ago, to provide high-quality education to thousands of international students.

AEI delivers a range of Academic programmes at levels 5 to 7, English Language programmes at all levels, and Study Groups & Tours, tailored to student’s requirements.

Academic Diploma programmes

New Zealand Diploma in Business – Leadership & Management (level 5) – A programme that suites students who are entitled or aiming to be employed in managerial roles at an operational level. The programmes qualify students to contribute their business’s entity leadership and management, and to obtain the entity’s goals at an operational level.  

 New Zealand Diploma in Business - Leadership and Management (level 6) – This programme is aimed for students who want to work as managers or leaders at a strategic level in a business. Students will gain skills and knowledge to obtain objectives at a strategic level, and to improve the entity’s productivity, in a bi-cultural and multi-cultural environment. 

Diploma in Business Management – Business Information Technology (level 7) – A programme designed to provide with advanced business management skills and knowledge, to be able to play a managerial role in both New Zealand and global businesses, and organizations. Students will specialize in Business Information Technology tools and e-business platforms, to be able to manage strategic business processes in the digital age. 

Diploma in Business Management – Digital Ubiquitous Marketing (level 7) – This qualification is designed to provide with advanced business management skills and knowledge, to be able to play a managerial role in both New Zealand and global businesses, and organizations. Students will specialize in Digital Ubiquitous Marketing, to be able to implement and deliver strategies and tactics, to engage new customers, to conduct loyalty programmes, to keep existing customers, and to improve the profitability of the company. This programme is relevant for students who completed their business or management qualification at level 6, or these who have equivalent industry experience.

Diploma in Business Management – Brand Management (level 7) – Graduates of this programme will gain advanced business management skills and knowledge, to be able to play a managerial role in both New Zealand and global businesses, and organizations. The students will also specialize in designing high-quality marketing programmes, to enable building, measuring and managing brand equity.

English language programmes

English for Academic and General Purposes – English for General Purposes strand – Designed for students who wish to improve their general English level, focusing on additional topics related to the context of adjustment to life in New Zealand.

English for Academic and General Purposes – English for Specialist Subject Areas - Designed for students who wish to improve their general English level, focusing on additional topics related to a context of a selected Specialist Subject Area.

English for Academic and General Purposes – High School Preparation strand – A programme aimed for students who wish to prepare themselves for entry into a New Zealand High School. The students will focus on Language strands of Mathematics, Social Studies and Science, as well as practical subjects of Art, Cooking, Craft and Sports.

English for Academic and General Purposes – IELTS preparation strand – A designated programme for students preparing for the IELTS exam. The course will include practising in real encounters with sample questions and past papers, and skills to succeed in the exam. There are separated classes for Academic IELTS and General IELTS.

English for Academic and General Purposes – Language Boost – A short course for students who are already studying in New Zealand or preparing for that. This is an activity-centred programme, based on everyday themes, to encourage the students to use the English language in everyday situations. The course is available for students at ages 8 to 18.

English for Academic and General Purposes – Language Mega Boost (January) - A short course for students who are already studying in New Zealand or preparing for that. The programme focuses on high-school preparation context, including a refresher course and practising in general classroom skills.

 New Zealand Certificate in English Language – Academic (level 4) – A programmes to help students to develop their English language skills in an academic context. The course focuses on communicating fluently and effectively about familiar and unfamiliar situations independently.

Private Tuition – AEI offers one-on-one private tuition for 55$ p/h, with an option to receive comprehensive diagnostic testing and a report for an additional fee of 200$.

Study groups & Tours

The Alpha Educational Institute provides short-term courses of an Academic English programme, or a combination of the Academic programme with tailored activities, to groups of up to 30 students at a time. The price for a group with a tailored programme is by quotation, and it depends on the selected activities.

Campuses

AEI campuses are located in Auckland (CBD) and Christchurch (Burnside). Both campuses are equipped with air-conditioners, Cafeteria facilities and free WIFI. They are also accessible for wheelchairs and located within short walking distance from major public bus routes.

The Auckland campus is in the heart of Auckland’s Business District and there are plenty of food, retail and entertainment stores next to it. The campus in Christchurch is also equipped with computers with email and internet access, an on-site café, safe outdoor area, semi-park grounds and plenty of free car parking areas.
