Universal College of Learning/Te Pukenga

Universal College of Learning’s stated mission is to ‘Develop great graduates who make a difference wherever they work in the world’. Established in 1902 to meet the skills required by New Zealand businesses, UCOL has strong community connections. The college is a partner with local businesses to provide work experience for many of its students studying diplomas, degrees and postgraduate programmes to help an organisation meet their staffing needs, solve a problem or advance a project. UCOL is a modern institute of technology and polytechnic with specialities in Applied Engineering and Trades, Health and Sciences, and Humanities and Business. Many UCOL staff are active researchers who are uncovering new ways of thinking and doing that have the potential to positively impact the communities and beyond.
